What a great day for Edna High School! For the fourth straight year, EHS students competed at the Texas Academic UIL State Championships. Tiffany Zheng placed 8th in Accounting. The Mathematics team placed 4th, with Kyle Zheng earning a 6th place medal. Amelia Smiga competed in Poetry Interpretation. She advanced to the event finals and was awarded a 6th place medal for her outstanding performance. Congratulations to all these students on their commitment and hard work!

A dangerous TikTok trend is circulating that encourages students to create electrical short circuits in Chromebooks by inserting objects into the USB port. This can cause sparks or puncture the lithium battery, creating a serious fire hazard. Students and parents should be aware that participation in this trend or any other intentional destruction will result in severe consequences, including but not limited to the actions listed below: • Replacement cost • Loss of technology use • ISS or DAEP Please talk to your student about the importance of the appropriate use of our district technology resources and the consequences of their actions.
